Bound volume of 11 reports extracted from various early issues of the Journal of the Royal Geographical Society. Bound in mid-twentieth century in red cloth boards. Page edges sprinkled. Spine titled in gilt:"New Zealand - 1832-64". Page dimensions: 208 x 133mm. No previous owner's signatures. All maps in very good condition. One map with a small 10mm tear to the margin. A few minor spots of foxing to some maps. Publisher's imprint line in the lower margin of the Brunner map cropped through the middle of the letters. All extracts are on New Zealand, including several on important 19th century explorations in the South Island of New Zealand, notably those of Thomas Brunner, J. Turnbull Thomson, and Julius von Haast.
